Anyhow, living in Jerusalem and being very close to Holiness, I received a phonecall from Heaven. My stringer reported about André arriving at the Gates of Heaven. Saint Peter, Moses and Mohammed were on the spot to decide the fate of André. Should he be sent to Hell for having been an epikores all his life, or should he be sent to Heaven, for having been a saint who never said a bad thing about anyone. The gatekeepers had a great discussion. My Stringer told me, that he only heard laughter, while they discussed with André what to do with him. In the end my stringer told me, that André was given a press card, something highly unusual in Heaven. The problem was, that the three gatekeepers, the Jew, the Christian and the Moslem simply could not take him seriously. So they decided to let him go around at his free will, with his little Leica and his presscard. He was told to take a look at Heaven and if that was too boring, then he should explore Hell. One thing is sure. Those in Heaven as well as those in Hell cheered up, as soon as they met André and he only enjoyed himself, no matter where he was, in Hell or in Heaven. To the best of my knowledge, André was such a sensitive person, that he simply stood above everything. So once I will reach the gates of Heaven, I expect André to be there at the gate, cracking another joke and telling Moses, St. Peter and Muhammad, also to let me have a press card to join him on this trip between Hell and Heaven. I cannot imagine anything more pleasant than that.
Many times I prevented him from pressing on the format button for his hard disk, because he thought that his computer would run better and faster if he erased all the files. I wish he had asked me, before he pressed on the format button and erased the hard disk of his life. But don´t worry, before he did that, I forced him to prepare a backup. So for me at least, even if Andre erased all the files of his exciting life, we all have a back up of his memory, safely kept with dear Hana, André's children and all of his very best friends.
